Overview

Enjoy an exciting day walk in the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes, climbing to the highest points such as La Torre and Cerro de los Cuervos. With an average height of 3,700 meters, you can admire spectacular views of the volcanic chain of Guatemala and Huehuetenango. The 8.6 km course is of high difficulty, but will reward with stunning landscapes and rich biodiversity.

Itinerary

Day 1

The guide will meet with the group at the agreed collection point. Departure to the municipal regional park of Todos Santos Cuchumatan.

Arrival at the start of La Maceta trail. Brief introduction on the route, conditions and safety measures.

The 8.6km hike begins by ascending the trail. The guide will provide information on local flora, fauna and geology during the tour.

Continuation of the ascent to the Cerro de los Cuervos. Lunch (not included) in a designated area with spectacular views. Time to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Start of the descent by the same path, with the opportunity to observe the vegetation and fauna from a different perspective.

Arrival at the starting point of the trail. Brief rest and preparation for the return.

Departure to the meeting point or hotel in Huehuetenango.
