Overview

Uaxactún is a pre-classic archaeological site with more than 3000 years old. It is worth visiting at any time of year, but especially on the summer solstice, located a few kilometers from Tikal. It was used as an astronomical observatory in the Mayan area and located in the heart of the Mayan world.

Itinerary

Day 1

Departure from hotels in Flores or Mundo Maya airport.

Begin the journey to Uaxactún, a 2-hour trip exploring the Guatemalan landscape.

Arrival at Uaxactún, where we will immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of this archaeological site. Guided by local experts, we will explore the ruins and uncover the secrets of the ancient Mayan civilization, from its impressive structures to its complex astronomical systems.
