Experience an adrenaline-filled adventure rafting down Coban's Cahabón River!

On our River Rafting Tour, we will traverse down the crystal clear emerald waters of the river. Stretching from Coban all the way to Lake Izabal, the Cahabón River is one of Guatemala’s few rivers that offers white water rafting all year round. The rapids range from level I to level IV, depending on the time of the year.

The surrounding scenery is truly breathtaking, while you raft down the raging waters, you'll enjoy lush vegetation, diverse fauna and unique views. This is truly an experience of a lifetime.

Itinerary

Day 1

Your driver will be waiting for you at your hotel. Meet your professional rafting guide, who will give you a warm welcome and provide a detailed introduction about the day, safety measures, and necessary equipment.

Equip yourself with rafting gear and receive instructions on how to handle the raft. Transport to the Starting Point

Begin the exciting raft journey on the Cahabón River. Experience rapids of levels I, II, and III-IV, depending on the time of year. Attraction Exploration

Navigate to a limestone cave and visit the Maya ruins of Quiriguá, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its impressive stelae. Refreshing Swim

Finish the raft tour and return to the starting point to have a free time to explore by yourself

Transportation to you return to your hotel in Coban.

Information

Participants must know how to swim.
This tour is availble year-round however it is recommended for June to February.
It is necessary 4 people to go on with the tour.
Not suitable for pregnant women or people with heart problems.
