In Iximche, the first city conquered by the Spanish and ancient Guatemalan capital, you will be able to explore the vestiges of a Mayan civilization while presences sacred ceremonies carried out by modern Aj q'ijab '. Then, in San Andrés Itzapa, you'll have the opportunity to visit an altar dedicated to Maximon, the Native American saint revered for his divine intervention and miracles. Finally, in San Juan Comalapa, known as the "Florence of America", you can immerse yourself in the rich tradition of the Kaqchiquel painting and explore murals that tell the story and the experiences of its people.

Itinerary

Day 1

Departure from your lodging in Antigua Guatemala.

You will arrive in Iximche, enjoy the tour and learn about the Mayan history.

We will go to San Andrés Itzapa where you will have the opportunity to visit an altar dedicated to Maximon.

After visiting San Juan Comalapa, known as the "Florence of America", you can immerse yourself in the rich tradition of Kaqchiquel painting and explore murals.

You'll have time to taste a typical meal for your lunch. (Not included)

Return to your accommodation in Antigua Guatemala.
