## The Semuc Champey Forest

## Its natural pools

Semuc Champey is basically a natural limestone bridge 300 meters long that has six pools of turquoise blue water, in addition, the Cahabón River runs underneath these bodies of water and, at the end of its journey, the water of the lagoons falls forming a waterfall 40 meters high.

## The viewpoint of Semuc Champey

This tourist site also has a lookout over 50 meters high, ideal for observing the natural pools and waterfalls. It is without a doubt a mandatory stop on this excursion.

This site, which means "sacred water" or "where the river hides under the stones" in Mayan language, is a natural wonder of the country, visited by thousands of people to swim in the pools and also to explore a nearby cave.
