Ixbalanque craft brew

The first craft beer in Guatemala and the favorite of many today. It is easily recognized by its iconic symbol, in fact the Mayan seal makes it even more nationalistic.

This beer was born from the crazy idea of a couple of neighbors who wanted something more for their lives and embarked on a long road to create a quality craft beer that is well recognized by the great brewmasters.

• Extrahops IPA: A beer more bitter than the traditional Indian IPA and with a combination of hops with a lot of aromas.
• Dry Stout: A slightly roasted beer flavor that when served makes a creamy foam from cocoa, chocolate and coffee notes.
• Wheat beer: It has a lighter flavor and a very particular golden color. Wheat gives it a pleasant fruity aroma and is much more refreshing.
• Scottish red Ale: One of the lightest of the group with a soft touch of caramelized malt.
• Blonde Ale: very similar to Pilsen or Lager, it is the typical beer served cold.

If you want to try it, it is very easy, since they are present throughout Guatemala.

The zapote

A logo with a very large toad sitting on a barrel of beer, believe it or not, is very attractive. This brewery started out offering a beer with a slightly lighter taste than others of its kind. However, its taste has been improving and consumers have noticed.

When they started they had no idea how to enter the market and currently the brand's presence has been greater. They have several flavors of beers and the Scottish Ale seems to have much more receptivity from the public.

The Gray Prince

Inspired by the traditional German lager beer, it has a very accentuated fermented flavor and is perfect in a long glass and very cold. This brewery makes its appearance in the market since 2016 and craft beer that brewed without chemicals and without processes to accelerate the brewing process.

They offer several types of beers where they highlight:

• Lager: Pilsen, Dunkel (dark malty beer) and IPL (strong with a pronounced bitterness).

• Seasonal or Ale styles: Stout (contains smoky notes), Witbier (a white beer with a little hibiscus flower), Weizen is a malty wheat delight and Oktoberfest is a German classic that can be drunk at room temperature.
