# Typical foods of Guatemala that you should know
 
The errands, broths and stews are some of the typical Guatemalan meals that we enjoy the most. Guatemala is full of different ethnic groups and different people, each with a variety of cultural expressions.
One of those expressions is gastronomy. Guatemala is full of dishes and flavors. 

## Kak ik

A dish typical of the Q'eqchi 'region, this broth is one of the favorites for its “chunto” (chompipe) meat, different vegetables, spices and chili, a lot of chili. Rice to accompany, "pochitos" (butter tamales) and cocoa or pinol to drink.

## Enchiladas

Toast with minced meat, cheese, a touch of egg, sauce, cheese, and beets for that signature color. A challenge to eat it without breaking the toast, but with a wonderful flavor to try.

## Fiambre

A mixture of cold cuts and vegetables, chicken broth, cheeses and more that requires weeks of preparation and a lot of work. Still, it is a traditional dish of the celebration on All Saints Day, an exceptional mix of flavors.

## Paches

Potato base and message with enough tomato to give that red color, and great flavor, to one of the classic dishes on Thursdays. It tastes better if it brings chili and chicken.

## Shucos

Bread, avocado, cabbage and your favorite sausage, be it sausage, chorizo, longaniza or even roast beef. The shucos are in different carts, a food that is prepared quickly and tastes good.

## Tamales
With corn masa and an errand along with chicken or pork, tamales are a favorite meal on Saturdays, or at New Year's Eve parties. Along with a French bread and coffee, great.

## Chuchitos

Dough, errand and meat, the chuchitos are one of the best spare parts. They are small, so it is usual to eat more than one, served with tomato sauce and cheese.

## Tortillas
From the comal or from the basket? Tortillas are the ideal accompaniment to most of our meals, be it white, yellow or black corn. They are good even on their own with salt, cheese or beans turned over. Splendid.

## Pepián

One of the traditional messages of the country, the chicken pepián and its consistency are an exquisite delicacy. It goes very well with vegetables, rice and some tortillas.

## Caldo de res

One of the famous broths. Prepared with beef, the stew is added cassava, potatoes, carrots, corn and more vegetables for a meal that fills the hungriest and everyone likes.
